UNCOVERING HIDDEN DATA FROM DIGITAL DEVICES

Our Story

Metadata can reveal hidden or deleted information about files ranging from documents to images. Some examples of metadata information include Filename, Creation Date, Last Modified Date and Geo-Location – for images captured with a camera. Such hidden data act as fingerprints of electronic files, allowing forensic investigators to uncover information about how the file has been manipulated.
The Metadata Forensics Reader and Analyser is a user-friendly tool to ease the process of metadata retrieval from various file types. Investigators can use the tool to extract metadata from digital devices and put the information on a timeline of events related to the files. The tool also allows the information to be presented in a format which can be used as evidence in court.
