Our Story

The disruptions and delays in the mass rapid transit system in recent years has affected large numbers and left many stranded. Thus it is important to find effective ways to ameliorate the inconveniences that commuters face when such situation occur.
The Taxi Sharing Simulator was developed with aims to simulate and measure the effectiveness of a smartphone taxi sharing application during a train line disruption. The interns from Teamsek Polytechnic were tasked to create a simulator that visualizes taxi location data. Simulate taxi sharing during train service disruptions and calculates the number of affected commuters using dummy passenger data. With the simulated data, the developers will be better informed on the practicality of the application.
